Welcome! Pineknoll Farm, home of Brenmar Belgian Tervuren and Pineknoll Morgans is a five generation farm. My grandfather and grandmother built the old farm house at the turn of the century. Grandpa George Haskins owned a great deal of property around the Greenfield, Massachusetts area, and raised cattle as well as other animals and chickens on these thirty-six acres. Originally, there were several hundred acres, but much was sold off. There has been five generations living here on Leyden Road, and I am the one fortunate enough to be here now. I share the land and buildings with four horses, two Belgian Tervuren and three cats. Although my taste has changed in the breed of horses, the love of the creatures has not. I board horses and have a trainer come to the farm every week named Julie Kirk who has trained and rehabilitated thoroughbreds off the track, and shows, and uses the Natural Horsemanship method as does Olympic riders and trainers Karen and David O'Conner. Come for coffee or an overnight. Meet the horses, dogs, trainer and of course, me. Brenda Marotto | |||||||
