My dog's name is Bear, his actual title is Australian Champion Shartooz the Red Bear- he is now six years old. He was born on 09 February 1994. He is very energetic, and we have done quite well at showing. He has also worked with me in the Australian Army as a Unit Mascot for the Training Corps for Australian Cadets. We are both retired from that now, as I am concentrating on my work, study and giving Bear time to explore other avenues. His enjoyment consists of water play, balls and he likes obedience, though not good off the lead - takes off and does as he wishes! We hope to get another Belgian one day. He also shares his house with four cats, bird and fish, oh and me of course. To me, he is the Love of my life, my Pride and my Joy. 07/05/2002 Update: Bear is now 8 years old, we have both finished working with the Army. Recently Bear has had a couple of seizures, but his checkups have all been clear. If anyone else has had experience with Belgian having seizures/epilepsy I would be really happy to talk to them. Otherwise things are still much the same at home, he plays; walks; enjoys water play in summer and eats a balanced diet.
