Madouc was a 20 month old Terv when I took these pictures.
We got her two days before Bastille Day of '96. She is named for the
princess in Jack Vance's book of the same name. That princess
has the endearing characteristic of obeying the letter of the
law while managing to completely circumvent its spirit. It
seemed appropriate. Her favorite stupid dog trick is called
"boing"; from a sit she will leap backwards about two feet,
landing in a very happy stand.
I am a photographer and composer by trade, not a "dog show
person" and none of the images has a stacked dog in it. I like
photos that say something about the dog/person relationship and
I think these do; we love Madouc very much. They are all copyrighted
images, but you can spread them around all you like as long as you don't
try to make commercial use of them.
The pictures:
Bag O'Volts: No explanation necessary, nor possible, for that
matter.
MADOUC: Madouc's "headshot" as well as the poster image
from an as-yet-unmade doggy horror film.
